International renters FAQ
Questions from international visitors renting an exotic car in Chicago: license, international driving permit and insurance. Requirements are confirmed at booking.
Visiting Chicago from abroad? Here is what to ask about before you book. Requirements for international renters are confirmed at booking, so please share your country and documents when you send a request.
Can I rent with a foreign driver’s license?
Licensing requirements for international renters are confirmed at booking. Have your license ready to share when we confirm your reservation.
Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?
An IDP is a translation of your home license and is obtained in your home country before you travel. Whether one is needed for your rental is confirmed at booking; if your license is not in English, it is wise to carry one.
What insurance do I need?
All drivers need full-coverage insurance that applies to the rental. How international visitors meet that requirement is confirmed at booking, so ask your insurer or travel coverage provider before you travel.
What is the minimum age?
Drivers must be 21 or older.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, every car has a refundable security deposit listed on the fleet page. Payment methods are confirmed at booking.
Can the car meet me at my hotel or near the airport?
Yes, by arrangement. See hotels, O’Hare and Midway.
Why visitors choose a supercar
A rental counter gives you transport. A remarkable car gives you the trip you remember: the skyline from Lake Shore Drive with the roof down, a Rolls-Royce at the restaurant door, a photograph beneath the Chicago Theatre marquee. The collection holds 30 cars and three multi-car packages, each with a listed daily rate and refundable deposit, from the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 at $200 a day to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan at $1,600 a day.
How booking works
Send a reservation request with your dates, car and where you are staying, or use the Call and Text buttons. The car, rate, deposit, mileage and handover are confirmed personally. Nothing is charged by the request form.
Driving in Chicago
Downtown traffic is heaviest on weekday rush hours, and many downtown streets have strict parking rules. Garages and hotel valet are the easy option. Lake Shore Drive has no trucks and wonderful views; obey posted limits, which are enforced.
Requirements
